MEET THE GRADUATES

“The Interise program was and will continue to be an asset to growing my business. The program taught me how to utilize available resources to take my business to the next level. We continuously worked on our business pitch and growth plan which allowed me to see not where my business is today but the potential of where I can go with the right plans and foundation in place. The Interise program has made a remarkable difference to my business and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the program and the community.”
"Since the program, I have worked on two city contracts and two projects with one of the general contractors that supported the program. In a year’s time of starting the program, I have doubled my revenue and number of employees.”

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Brenné Shepperson
SCORE Business Mentor

After serving my country in the U.S. Marine Corps (enlisted) and as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army (president appointed), I have worn a dozen of hats professionally.  I am a SCORE business mentor, an advisory board member for the Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce, a council member for the State of Delaware Governor’s Advisory Council for Exceptional Citizen, and adjunct faculty teaching business management courses. I served a three-year term on the board of directors for the Stepping Stones Community Federal Credit Union, and serviced on the credit union’s supervisory committee as an auditor.

I am very passionate about business, business education, and mentoring business owners.  I consider myself a lifelong learner who enjoys sharing my business knowledge through teaching and mentoring; this is why I am ecstatic about being an instructor for the Streetwise MBA program.  I believe in the program.  After closing the doors on my trucking company at the height of the 2008 recession, I went back to school and earned an MBA degree with an emphasis in marketing (2010).  Currently, I am a doctoral candidate in the business administration program at Wilmington University, on schedule to complete my dissertation project by the fall of 2021. I am penning my first book about succeeding in life with adult ADHD despite this condition’s ability to keep you distracted.
